About The Position

This role involves working per standard operating procedures (SOPs) to assemble and test optical fibers. The technician will document manufacturing processes and test results, inspect fiber assemblies under a microscope, and conduct rework on assemblies/systems based on test outcomes. The position also includes assisting in troubleshooting technical problems, recommending solutions, and supporting engineers in testing and development activities. Cross-training in other production or test areas may be required.

Requirements

• High school diploma (or equivalent)
• Experience handling small, fragile optical components
• Strong hand–eye coordination and attention to detail
• Ability to work under microscope and see fine details
• Basic computer/data entry skills (Excel, PC systems)
• Work effectively with other members of Coherent Corp.
