About The Position

This opportunity is located within our Ensign-Bickford Aerospace & Defense Company business, a global leader of mission-critical hardware and systems solutions including precision energetics systems and innovative explosive solutions. The Test Technician position supports electrical and mechanical testing of our non-energetic product lines. Testing will be performed in accordance with written procedures, MIL-STD’s and industry specifications. Test data will be generated to support customer requirements. Occasional heavy lifting (25 lbs.) and overtime may be required.

Requirements

• High School Diploma
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to interface with individuals at multiple levels in the organization
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Problem solving skills
• Communication skills
• Ability to interpret and execute test requirements provided in written specifications

Nice To Haves

• Associate Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• Experience working in an aerospace industry
• Experience in a test lab environment with exposure to several of the following areas: Pressure transducers, Multimeters, Milliohmeters, Hipot testers, Pulse Generators, Voltage and Current Supplies, Oscilloscopes (DAQs), Test Equity, Temperature Chambers, Instron Tensile testers
• Microsoft Word and Excel Proficiency
• Intron Tensile tester programming (Bluehill Universal Software)
• Watlow F4 and F4T programming

Responsibilities

• Test evaluation, set-up and performance
• Equipment preventive maintenance and calibration
• Test data reporting and plotting
• Equipment troubleshooting and repair
• Evaluation, set-up and performance of electrical tests, mechanical loading and proofing.
