Howden’s core focus is on providing quality solutions for air and gas handling and has over a century of experience in doing so. We are hiring Technician-Test for our Windsor, CT location.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED
2 years of more working in a manufacturing environment.
Strong attention to detail.
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to read engineering documentation (drawings, test specification).
Strong mechanical aptitude.
Ability to use a variety of hand tools.
Work independently and as part of a team.
Must be familiar with the operation and connection of low to medium three phase motors.

Responsibilities

Perform tests and troubleshoot performance, leaks and aesthetics of all Spencer blower and vacuum products.
Maintain documentation as per established quality standards and engineering test specification.
Perform trim balance.
Work with a variety of calibrated gauges not limited to vibration meters, temperature probes, volt, and amp meters.
Set up and break down of test fixtures using hoists, forklifts, or other material handling equipment.
Work with variable frequency drives.
