As a Test Technician at Jabil, Inc., you will be responsible for performing a variety of technical duties related to testing, troubleshooting, and repairing electronic assemblies and products to ensure they meet quality and performance standards. You will work within a manufacturing environment, contributing to the efficient and reliable production of our advanced technology solutions.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 1-3 years of experience in electronics testing, troubleshooting, and repair, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications.
  • Strong understanding of electronic components, circuits, and test methodologies.
  • Experience with common test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, and function generators.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced production setting.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

  • Execute defined test procedures and methodologies on electronic components, sub-assemblies, and finished products using specialized test equipment.
  • Document test results accurately and completely, including pass/fail status, measurements, and observations.
  • Identify, diagnose, and troubleshoot failures or defects in electronic circuits and systems down to the component level using schematics, diagrams, and diagnostic tools.
  • Perform rework and repair activities on failed units in accordance with established procedures and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to identify root causes of failures and implement corrective actions.
  • Assist in the calibration and maintenance of test equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of test processes and procedures.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
