Test Techncian 3

RTX•Forest, MS

About The Position

The Test Technician performs a wide variety of technical tasks in support of processes, engineering, quality control, calibration, laboratories, production and test environments, line maintenance, and chemical handling. The role tests, troubleshoots, repairs, maintains, and installs electronic, electro-mechanical, mechanical, computer, laboratory, and scientific systems and equipment. The technician observes, analyzes, and reports test data and makes equipment repairs when appropriate. Working from approved procedures, schematics, and drawings, the technician isolates problems between the test environment and units under test, validates procedures, and selects, sets up, and operates engineering and scientific equipment. The role also requires interpreting test data to determine pass/fail conditions, identifying when additional analysis is needed, and creating detailed failure entries that connect failure modes to test specifications. Technicians work independently to complete production and acceptance testing and meet production goals. This is an onsite position at Raytheon's Forest, Mississippi facility. The work may require lifting, walking, and climbing stairs or ladders at test ranges. U.S. citizenship and an active, existing DoD Secret clearance are required.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (e.g., GED), or vocational/technical education in a related discipline, with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience performance testing electronic circuits and effectively identifying failure trends.
  • U.S. citizenship; the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance is required.
  • Active and existing DoD Secret clearance required after day 1.
  • Ability to lift, walk, and potentially climb stairs or ladders at test ranges.
