Requirements

  • Requires ability to read and write, understand engineering drawings, wiring schematics, test specification sheets and other similar documents
  • Must have basic knowledge of electrical measuring equipment
  • High School Diploma / GED is Required

  • May require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty and 0-2 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
  • Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
  • Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.

Responsibilities

  • Performs routine assignments involving sequences of operations required for quality certification
  • Carries out testing required by Quality Certification Procedures
  • Performs certification tests following a specified required sequence
  • Sets up and operates all test equipment
  • Exercises good housekeeping in work area
  • Observes good safety practices in performance of job
  • Interacts with other engineering groups to define, document, analyze, perform, and interpret tests for products, systems, components, or modifications.
  • Identifies functional problems and suggests resolutions.
  • Assists in the definition of internal quality control standards and the maintenance of reliability programs.
  • Analyzes test cases and provides regular progress reports.
