About The Position

HYVE Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented, hands-on, results-driven Test Engineer with proven communication skills and a strong work ethic to work in a challenging, fast-paced, energetic environment. This role involves providing Level 3 technical support for troubleshooting and failure analysis of server, rack, storage, and GPU products in repair. The position also includes sustaining repair training procedures and documentation, training employees, and making improvements in the repair area to reduce defects, failures, and labor costs. The Test Engineer will maintain repair reporting tools/websites, globally support escalated repair issues, and provide technical direction to test, assembly, and repair teams. Additionally, the role involves hiring and retaining repair technician talent, installing hardware into racks, rack cable management, preventive maintenance, and reviewing/maintaining repair test equipment and capacity. The position requires experience working on complex problems, interacting with leadership, and providing solutions to moderately complex issues. The role also involves interfacing with peers for reporting and follow-up tasks, guiding project completion, and setting technical strategy.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years related experience
  • Prior knowledge of using any ticket tracking system (i.e. Jira)
  • Knowledge of manufacturing systems
  • Skilled in debugging and root cause analysis
  • Knowledge of programming and databases (Python and MySQL are required, PHP is a plus)
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Lean philosophies and experienced in practicing those applications.
  • Excellent communication skills—written and verbal.
  • Attention to detail and process.
  • Self-starter and highly motivated

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer/electrical engineering or equivalent is a plus.
  • Prior knowledge of using PLM system (i.e. Agile) would be a benefit

Responsibilities

  • Provide Level 3 tech support on trouble shooting/ failure analysis for server/rack/storage/GPU products in repair

  • Review and maintain repair test equipment and capacity.
  • Provide solutions to problems of moderate complexity that require the evaluation of readily distinguishable factors using standard techniques and methodologies.
  • Interface with peers, both internal and external to the organization, to complete various reporting and follow-up tasks.
  • Guide the completion of projects and conduct technical tasks and/or set specific technical strategy and direction for self and/or others.
