About The Position

PGS Worldwide is seeking a Secret-Cleared Test Technician in Chelmsford, MA for a 6-month onsite contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company. The Test Technician will assemble and test electronic products, systems, subassemblies, and circuit boards in a production environment. This hands-on role includes electrical and RF testing, basic troubleshooting, test-data documentation, and collaboration with production, quality, and engineering teams. An interim Secret clearance is required before starting the position.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Ability to obtain an interim Secret clearance before starting the position.
  • Basic computer skills, including the ability to navigate digital systems for timekeeping, work instructions, and task confirmation.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Strong work ethic, punctuality, and reliability.
  • Ability and willingness to learn and grow in the role.
  • Ability to work from process instructions, work instructions, and test plans.
  • Ability to accurately document test data and results.
  • Ability to use measuring instruments and electronic test equipment.
  • Ability to perform basic troubleshooting and retesting of electronic assemblies.

Responsibilities

  • Perform electrical and RF testing on systems, subassemblies, and circuit boards.
  • Use manual and automated test equipment.
  • Follow process instructions, work instructions, and test plans.
  • Use measuring instruments and electronic test equipment to verify product quality.
  • Record accurate test data and results in test databases.
  • Generate test reports.
  • Assist with improving test procedures.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting and retesting of electronic assemblies.
  • Collaborate with production, quality, and engineering teams.
  • Support throughput and continuous-improvement activities.
  • Assemble and test electronic products and systems in a production environment.
