About The Position

Perform testing, troubleshooting, and build optimization of optoelectronic equipment to ensure compliance with production quality, schedule, and performance standards. Quality standards include preventing nonconforming material report (NCMR) escapes that impact product functionality; schedule standards focus on meeting on-time delivery commitments; and performance standards emphasize manufacturing yield, throughput, and productivity objectives. Work from daily instructions and established procedures to execute test plans, document manufacturability assessments, and record test results and outcomes. Demonstrate flexibility and a willingness to take on new assignments while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams. Communicate plans, progress, issues, and recommendations regularly to support production goals and continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Performs various production assembly operations on electronic components and sub-assemblies
  • Uses test procedures, drawings, schematics, and verbal/written instructions to test and troubleshoot units
  • Performs the set-up, calibration, testing and troubleshooting of circuits, components, instruments, and mechanical assemblies
  • Documents test results accurately
  • Works on assignments that are semi-routine in nature where the ability to recognize nonconformities is required
  • Maintains fixturing, performs calibration, preventive maintenance, and corrective maintenance
  • May assist with training other AE employees in established processes
  • May act as the technical interface with other departments
