About The Position

The Test Technician III leads advanced testing processes and provides mentorship to junior technicians. They are responsible for developing and optimizing testing protocols and often interface with customers and suppliers to address technical concerns. This role requires significant experience and expertise in troubleshooting complex systems. The Mission Solutions and Technologies (MST) business area provides affordable, turn-key command/control, communications, integrated ISR, force protection and security solutions worldwide. The MST team has a long legacy of supporting the Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, commercial and international customers with years of experience in platform operations, engineering and full lifecycle management across domains – air, land, sea, space and cyber.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in a related field of study.
  • 3+ years' experience as a technician or in a related field.
  • Relevant experience can be considered as a substitute for the required educational qualifications.
  • In the absence of a degree, a minimum of 5 years of related experience is required.
  • Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
  • Ability to understand and interpret basic technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals, and/or publications.
  • Thorough understanding of test concepts and techniques.
  • Progressive experience with standard laboratory test, calibration, and other measurement equipment.
  • Perform testing processes on equipment, including the ability to lift up to 25 lbs regularly.
  • Conduct fault isolation and troubleshooting, requiring hand/finger dexterity.
  • Analyze and document test results, spending significant time on computers.
  • Work in potentially hazardous or loud environments, following safety protocols.
  • Ability to travel may be required.
  • For office roles, capability to work in an office or hybrid environment.
  • Applicant must be a U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State or U.S. Department of Commerce.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's degree with a focus on Electronics.
  • Familiarity with MIL Standard 810 Test Standards.
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense, or US Military.
  • Certification in Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with regulatory standards and compliance.
