About The Position

Acuren is seeking a Test Technician III to support its operation in Magnolia, Texas. Under the direction of engineering staff or physical scientists, the technician assists with phases of the design, development, production, testing, operation, and maintenance of mechanical equipment, tools, and industrial machinery in a specialized engineering area. The role includes inspecting product functions and monitoring test procedures and equipment. The position involves work in a lab or shop and partial office environment, with continuous and repeated standing. Sample preparation may involve extended periods indoors and outdoors using handheld instruments. Travel may be required. Physical effort includes lifting and carrying, as well as activities such as sitting, standing, walking, climbing, or driving; the role involves exposure to 5–7 elements or conditions and moderate mental effort.

Requirements

3–9 years of experience in a specialized field: Design, Materials, Mechanical, Electrical, or Structural Engineering.
Detail-oriented, with experience in quality standards and processes.
Skills in test and sample setup and testing.
Strong verbal and communication skills.
High energy, customer-focused, and a positive, success-oriented attitude.

Responsibilities

Provide professional customer service to industrial and energy companies and internal and external stakeholders.
Perform system and equipment maintenance and repairs as needed.
Operate a forklift to load and unload pipe samples; training is available.
Prepare samples, potentially working extended hours indoors and outdoors and using handheld instruments.
Work independently and proactively on assigned tasks with a focus on safety.
Perform other duties as assigned.
