About The Position

The Test Technician III will follow blueprints, guidelines, and/or diagrams to ensure product specifications and tolerance levels are met. This role performs functional testing per part-specific pre-established test procedures, monitors tests through completion, records test data, and services test equipment as required. The technician will document acceptance or failure results and demonstrate proper use of simple hand/machine tools, electronic/manual test equipment, and mechanical measuring devices. They will perform proper loading and unloading of electronic equipment in test beds, comply with applicable elements of quality systems, and participate in continuous improvement efforts (ACE). The role requires meeting internal and external customer deadlines, acquiring applicable skills/knowledge/certifications, and complying with safety and hazardous waste disposal programs. The technician will follow plans for production schedules and quality requirements, understand the end use of manufactured products, and proficiently use computer tools such as SAP while accurately following work instructions. Demonstrating initiative to keep processes moving and on schedule, training others for technical tasks as needed, and interfacing with other functional groups to update, inform, acknowledge, or resolve problems related to business issues are also key aspects of this position. Participation in waste minimization efforts and audits is expected. This position is considered safety sensitive in accordance with FAA guidelines and will be subject to drug and alcohol testing per FAA regulations.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
  • Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D in the US) or vocational/technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.

Nice To Haves

  • AS in Electronics Technology education/degree
  • RF, Digital, Analog Circuit experience
  • Ability to read schematics
  • Working knowledge of DMM, Oscilloscope, Signal Generator, & Spectrum Analyzer
  • Basic component level troubleshooting experience
