Requirements

Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D. in the US) or vocational/technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience
Experience with electronics troubleshooting
Experience with schematics or blueprints
Experience with using multimeters, oscilloscope, and/or spectrum analyzer

Nice To Haves

Associate’s degree in Electronics and/or certification in Electronics
Experience in the aerospace industry
Experience with electronics in the testing field
2-3 years of relevant experience in a component-level troubleshooting environment

Responsibilities

Interacts with cross-functional groups, including Engineering and Manufacturing, to support routine technical activities and resolve production or testing issues.
Sets up, configures, and operates test stands and test equipment; performs testing, interprets and records results, and identifies equipment failures.
Uses diagnostic tools and electrical measurements to troubleshoot, evaluate, and repair electronic/electromechanical units to the sub-assembly and component level.
Reads and interprets technical documentation, including engineering drawings, schematics, component maintenance manuals, drawings, and work instructions.
Performs troubleshooting, calibration, modification, and evaluation of hardware, fixtures, equipment, and related systems, including investigation of non-conformances.
Supports production and project activities by prioritizing tasks, managing workflow, communicating work status, maintaining accurate documentation, and utilizing databases to record test data, parts usage, and other required information.
Fabricates or modifies hardware, tools, equipment, fixtures, or prototypes from drawings and sketches and assists with estimating labor, material, manufacturing, and repair requirements.
