Requirements

  • Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2-4 years of experience in electrical testing, preferably in a manufacturing environment supporting power distribution equipment.
  • Strong understanding of electrical principles, circuits, and power system components.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings.
  • Experience with electrical testing equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, hipot testers, and power quality analyzers.
  • Strong troubleshooting, communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently during a 3rd shift schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Execute electrical tests on transformers, switchgear, and other power system components in accordance with established procedures and safety standards.
  • Interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and technical specifications to support testing and troubleshooting activities.
  • Operate and maintain electrical testing equipment including multimeters, oscilloscopes, hipot testers, and power analyzers.
  • Analyze and document test results, ensuring accurate recording of findings and identification of performance deviations.
  • Investigate test failures through root cause analysis and partner with engineering and manufacturing teams to implement corrective actions.
  • Calibrate and verify testing equipment to ensure measurement accuracy and compliance.
  • Support quality objectives by maintaining testing standards and contributing to continuous improvement efforts.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment while communicating test status and issues effectively to stakeholders.
  • Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
