As a Test Technician II at John Deere in Fargo, ND, you will work with test engineers to build, modify and debug test systems and related equipment. Job details are dependent on duties assigned but in general consist of the following: Provide intermediate line support to the production floor, engineers, and/or department. Research and order supplies needed to build and maintain test systems. Build or modify test systems with minimal supervision. Perform intermediate level troubleshooting by utilizing technical knowledge and interdepartmental contacts. Troubleshooting will be performed with minimal support and may not always have work instructions to assist in the work. Create and modify project documentation. Perform detailed analysis and reports. Inform supervisor of process or design problems and assist in the corrective action. May contact vendor or supplier when troubleshooting and correcting issues. Lead small improvement projects. Communicate with both internal and external customers in a professional and effective manner. Perform other associated tasks as required from their supervisor and manager and train other personnel. This is a third shift position.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
High School Diploma or G.E.D. OR National Career Readiness Certificate (NCRC) OR At least 3 years of manufacturing work experience.
A.S. in Electronics, a two-year technical diploma, or equivalent military certification, or equivalent work experience.
At least one year of related experience in electronics, manufacturing, or engineering; including:
Experience and understanding of test equipment and methods (multimeters, oscilloscopes, etc.).
Hands-on experience troubleshooting to identify root cause.
Experience reading and utilizing technical schematics, drawings, and/or datasheets.
Experience with computers and Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
Ability to perform manual tasks related to described job duties for duration of work shift; including but not limited to frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting.
Ability and willingness to work 3rd shift and potential overtime (including weekends).

Nice To Haves

Current experience as a contingent worker in a similar role at John Deere Fargo demonstrating strong performance and attendance.
3+ years of related experience in electronics, manufacturing, or engineering; including soldering with fine-pitch surface mount components.
