Test Technician II - 1st Shift

About The Position
The Test Technician II is responsible for aligning and testing complex scientific instrument assemblies to support work-cell production goals. The role follows work instructions for mechanical and electrical assemblies, material handling, and inventory verification, while working collaboratively with team members to solve problems and support continuous improvement. The position is based in Madison, Wisconsin, in Thermo Fisher Scientific’s Chemical Analysis Division. The schedule is Monday through Friday on first shift, with a 7:00 a.m. flexible start time.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of work experience in manufacturing, operations, production, a laboratory setting, or a related field.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds without assistance occasionally.
- Adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) safety standards.
- Ability to use required personal protective equipment, such as safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, or ear plugs.
Nice To Haves
- Experience analyzing test results in manufacturing.
- Proven track record as a Manufacturing Technician.
