The Test Technician II will follow blueprints, guidelines, and/or diagrams to ensure product specifications and tolerance levels are met. This role involves performing functional testing per part-specific pre-established test procedures, monitoring tests through completion, recording test data, and servicing test equipment as required. The technician will document acceptance or failure results and demonstrate the proper use of simple hand/machine tools, electronic/manual test equipment, and mechanical measuring devices. Responsibilities also include proper loading and unloading of electronic equipment in test beds, complying with applicable elements of quality systems, and participating in continuous improvement efforts (ACE). The role requires meeting internal and external customer deadlines, acquiring applicable skills/knowledge/certification, and complying with safety and hazardous waste disposal programs. The technician will follow plans for production schedules and quality requirements, understand the end use of manufactured products, and proficiently use computer tools such as SAP while accurately following work instructions. Demonstrating initiative to keep processes moving and on schedule, training others for technical tasks as needed, and interfacing with other functional groups to update, inform, acknowledge, or resolve problems related to business issues are also key aspects of this position. Participation in waste minimization efforts and audits, as well as requesting tools and supplies in accordance with project requirements, are expected.
