This role uses predetermined methods, operations, setups, and prescribed specifications to inspect in-process and completed products for conformance to engineering requirements and in accordance with quality specifications. The inspector uses a variety of computer systems, statistical control processes, and may use measuring devices to perform in-process, final, and product feature inspections. They inspect actual products on the floor and on-line, raise notifications of non-conformance, quarantine non-conforming product, and when approved, provide scrap or standard rework disposition.
