About The Position

The Test Technician III will be responsible for performing routine and varied tasks to ensure that production standards are met. This role involves setting up, calibrating, testing, and troubleshooting production assemblies, with projects ranging from simple to complex. The technician will set up test apparatus and conduct tests of production assemblies and units following established methods, procedures, standards, and sequences. They will also lay out and assemble units for production equipment according to designs and specifications, adjust and calibrate systems as needed, and modify equipment by adding, removing, or altering components as defined by predetermined diagrams and sketches. Correcting malfunctions by making adjustments or replacing parts or components as directed, and using hand and small power tools, along with various measuring and testing devices, are key duties. The role may also involve monitoring and verifying quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED. 2 years of work experience required in lieu of a High School Diploma or GED.
  • Test electronic and electro-mechanical units using standard and RF test equipment.
  • Analyze results to evaluate performance and determine need for adjustment.
  • Follows complex test specifications, test procedures and verbal instructions in order to perform a variety of routine standard tests.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings diagrams, hardware specifications, schematics, or written work instructions.
  • Working knowledge of electronic theory and components.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and analyze failures using electronic test equipment and software.
  • Diagnoses minor deficiencies in equipment and recommends rework where necessary.
  • Must work well with a team.
  • Experience in using Excel.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in microelectronics and RF testing.
  • Prior test experience.
  • Prior DoD/Aerospace Testing Experience.
  • Active Secret Clearance
