About The Position

The Test Technician subjects mission-critical hardware to extreme conditions that simulate real-world environments, supporting testing from component-level pressure tests to full-system functional tests. Working with engineers and senior technicians, this role sets up and executes tests, supports environmental testing, and helps ensure test activities are performed safely, accurately, and according to established procedures.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
2–5 years of experience in aerospace, defense, or manufacturing environments.
Demonstrated ability to work in a test environment based on previous work experience.
Ability and willingness to obtain a Washington State explosives license and work with energetic devices.
Ability to read and understand technical drawings, specifications, and procedures.
Understanding of safety practices related to heavy industrial equipment.
Proficiency with computers and familiarity with common office applications.

Nice To Haves

Associate's degree or higher.
Familiarity with crane operation and lifting equipment.

Responsibilities

Supports test setup and execution in collaboration with engineers and senior technicians.
Assists with test planning and execution, including test design, analysis, procedures, test plans, and data collection.
Performs setup and teardown of fixturing, equipment, and instrumentation according to engineering procedures.
Performs component-level pressure testing and full-system functional testing.
Supports environmental testing, including thermal, shock, and vibration testing.
Applies military and commercial testing specifications during test activities.
Maintains and improves test laboratory equipment and facilities as required.
Works independently with limited supervision while maintaining effective communication and interpersonal relationships.
