About The Position

This position requires a SECRET security clearance. Personnel must possess a final DoD granted SECRET security clearance. The role involves providing electrical engineering expertise to analyze complex electrical systems, electrical-design, architecture, procurement, testing, and other electrical issues. The engineer will integrate electrical components into complex hardware and software designs, and organize/direct electrical installation, maintenance, support, documentation, and testing activities. Additionally, the role includes preparing reports and recommendations on electrical technologies based on user requirements, developing and maintaining complex software systems, providing input on software components including trade-offs and requirements analysis, designing and integrating software applications, utilizing appropriate software engineering methodologies, ensuring efficient delivery of software engineering capabilities, and mitigating risks, controlling costs, and managing large-scale software projects. The engineer will also review and test software components for adherence to design requirements and document test results.

Requirements

  • Final DoD granted SECRET security clearance.
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Electrical engineering expertise
  • Experience analyzing complex electrical systems, electrical-design, architecture, procurement, testing, and other electrical issues.
  • Experience integrating electrical components into complex hardware and software designs.
  • Experience organizing and directing electrical installation, maintenance, support, documentation, and testing activities.
  • Experience preparing reports and recommendations concerning existing and emerging electrical technologies based on users’ requirements.
  • Experience developing, maintaining, and enhancing complex and diverse software systems based upon documented requirements.
  • Experience providing specific input to the software components of a system design to include hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse, use of COTS/GOTS in place of new development, and requirements analysis and synthesis from system level to individual software components.
  • Experience designing, implementing, and integrating software applications or performing software engineering tasks.
  • Experience utilizing software engineering and design methodologies appropriate to the development, integration, and production environment.
  • Experience ensuring efficient delivery of software engineering capabilities using industry standards and repeatable processes.
  • Experience mitigating risks, controlling costs and schedule variance, and effectively managing large scale, integrated software projects.
  • Experience reviewing and testing software components for adherence to the design requirements and documenting test results.
