Test Stand Operator - Weekend Shift
About The Position
The Test Stand Operator performs functional testing of liquid chillers and operates, repairs, and maintains chillers and facility equipment. The role also includes housekeeping and maintaining and inventorying equipment and storage. Participation in a Continuous Improvement Team is required as a condition of employment. This is an onsite manufacturing role on the weekend shift, working Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 5:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The stated hourly rate is $20.25, plus a shift premium and overtime. The rate may be determined by the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, internal equity, location, and market data.
Requirements
- At least one year of operations, maintenance, and repair experience.
- Working knowledge of three-phase electrical power distribution systems and transformers (208–4160 V).
- Working knowledge of liquid chilling units from 150 to 2000 tons.
- Working knowledge of cooling towers, pneumatic control valves, water pumps, and motors up to 1200 hp.
- Working knowledge of data instrumentation systems, including pressure transducers, flow meters, and resistance thermometers.
- Must understand and follow safety rules, regulations, policies, and procedures, and follow written and oral instructions.
- Must have vision corrected to 20/20.
- Must be able to read and perform high-school-level math or equivalent.
- Must be able to read and interpret blueprints.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with York liquid chilling equipment is preferred.
