About The Position

The Test Stand Operator performs functional testing of liquid chillers and operates the testing facility. The role also includes repairing chillers and facility equipment, maintaining the facility and equipment, and performing housekeeping and equipment-storage tasks as required. This position works a weekend shift on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, from 5:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The stated hourly rate is $20.25, plus shift premium and overtime; the final rate may depend on the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, internal equity, location, and market data. Requirements

At least one year of operations, maintenance, and repair experience in the listed technical areas.
Working knowledge of three-phase electrical power distribution systems and transformers (208–4160 V).
Experience with liquid chilling units from 150 to 2,000 tons; York equipment is preferred.
Experience with cooling towers, pneumatic control valves, water pumps, and motors up to 1,200 hp.
Experience with data instrumentation systems, including pressure transducers, flow meters, and resistance thermometers.
Ability to read and perform high-school-level mathematics or equivalent.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
Ability to understand and follow safety rules, regulations, policies, and procedures, and to follow written and oral instructions.
Vision corrected to 20/20.
