The Test Stand Operator will be responsible for attaching all necessary tooling to a transmission to make it capable of running on the test stand. This includes using a hoist to lift and move transmissions, plugging in pressure hoses, and adding oil. While the unit is on the stand, the operator will monitor for abnormal noise, vibration, and leaks, and perform prompted shifts and other steps via computer. They will verify the unit passes all computer-checked steps. For units that pass, the operator will remove tooling, plug openings with plastic and metal plugs torqued with a torque wrench, and clean the unit with cleaner and compressed air.
