About The Position

Cardiology Associates is seeking an experienced Test Scheduler to join its outpatient cardiology practice in Mobile, Alabama. This role coordinates patient care by scheduling diagnostic testing and procedures, obtaining prior authorizations, and communicating with patients, providers, and insurance companies. The position is full-time, day shift, Monday through Friday, with no weekends and paid holidays off.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of medical scheduling experience.
• Prior authorization and referral experience.
• Strong understanding of insurance verification and scheduling workflows.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced medical office environment.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities.
• Experience working with multiple computer applications and insurance websites.

Nice To Haves

• Previous cardiology or specialty practice experience.

Responsibilities

• Schedule diagnostic testing and patient procedures accurately and efficiently.
• Obtain prior authorizations and insurance referrals.
• Communicate with insurance companies regarding authorizations and coverage.
• Manage a high volume of incoming patient and provider phone calls.
• Coordinate scheduling with physicians, clinical staff, and patients.
• Maintain accurate patient scheduling documentation and records.
• Navigate multiple computer systems and insurance portals daily.
• Communicate with patients professionally and compassionately.
