About The Position

The EA – Test Proctor provides direct support for students who utilize the Testing Center, working under the supervision of the Placement Testing Specialist. This role is responsible for supervising students during testing, maintaining test integrity, and ensuring an environment conducive to testing, in coordination with the Academic Success Center and the Office of Disability and Accessibility Service.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in a related field and relevant work experience.
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds, including individuals with disabilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in exam proctoring, academic testing environments, or nursing education.
  • Familiarity with NCLEX-style testing and nursing curriculum content.
  • Knowledge of testing accommodations and ability to implement them accurately, consistently, and confidentially in collaboration with the testing center.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain exam integrity, security, and strict confidentiality in high-stakes testing environments.
  • Ability to follow standardized procedures and enforce exam policies fairly and consistently.
  • Comfortable using educational and testing platforms (e.g., ExamSoft/Examplify, Blackboard Ultra).
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with faculty, testing center staff, and administration.
  • Reliable and punctual, with flexibility to support scheduled exam times, including early mornings or extended testing periods into the afternoon.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare computer labs for testing which includes sanitizing workstations, furnishing labs with stationery and ensuring computers and testing software are working properly before testing.
  • Checking in students with their college or Government issued identification.
  • Maintain a distraction-free testing environment.
  • Provide information about testing policies and procedures to students.
  • Supervise students during testing to maintain test integrity.
