About The Position

Test Proctors are responsible for conducting pre and post assessments at Norwich Regional Adult Education in coordination with the Intake Specialist and Program Facilitator. This role requires adherence to standardized assessment protocols, flexibility in working hours including evenings, and the ability to travel to satellite programs. Proctors will also assist with GED/ABE/CDP/ESOL registration and administer computer-based tests, including remote and off-site testing. A key responsibility is monitoring candidates during testing sessions and reporting any incidents. Proctors will utilize the Pearson Testing System and become certified Pearson VUE Test Administrators.

Requirements

High School or GED Diploma required.
Must understand and adhere to standardized assessment protocols.
Flexible, willing to work daytime and evenings, and to travel to satellite programs.
Ability to work with computer-based testing.
Complete training modules for TOPS.
Certification as a CASAS test proctor.

Nice To Haves

Bilingual or multilingual preferred (Creole, Spanish, French, Chinese).

Responsibilities

Conduct pre and post assessments.
Prepare for scheduled assessments, including student ID numbers, computer setup, and navigating online test sites.
Upload tests to desktops or laptops, and initiate test sessions for satellite or remote locations.
Assist with GED/ABE/CDP/ESOL registration and understand the associated processes and paperwork.
Administer tests remotely and off-site.
Record scores on folders and index cards and forward them to the Intake Specialist.
Follow up with students who have missed assessments.
Monitor every candidate during every testing session for the entire duration.
Report all incidents by completing an Incident Report form provided by Pearson VUE.
Utilize Pearson Testing System applications.
Become a certified Pearson VUE Test Administrator.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Adult Education.
