About The Position

This role involves performing a variety of routine tasks related to prototype integration in vehicles, conducting prototype or vehicle-level testing, evaluating test results, and writing test reports under the guidance of a hardware or software engineer. The position also requires learning the technology of the prototype being tested, ordering mechanical and electrical components, building prototypes, participating in research for newer technologies, maintaining the engineering lab, and attending Design Reviews.

Requirements

• Time management skills
• Ability to work independently and with others
• Knowledge in basic operation of power supply, oscilloscopes, multimeter.
• Good documentation Skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Enrolled in an ABET accredited undergraduate or graduate engineer program with at least 2 years completed of college with a degreed focused on Electrical Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of routine tasks related to prototype integration in the vehicle, prototype or vehicle level testing, evaluation of test results and writing test reports based on the direction of the assigning hardware or software engineer
• Learn the technology used on the prototype being tested.
• Order mechanical and electrical components
• Build prototypes using appropriate design tools for reference
• Participate with research team in gathering information, bench marking and evaluating newer technologies or competitor products and demonstrate / report findings
• Maintain the engineering lab while getting familiar to the different tools and components used
• Attend Design Reviews
