About The Position

The Test Lead Analyst will provide expert testing services for SMUD’s ADMS/OMS Monarch and Compass applications, which use the OSI AspenTech ADMS platform. This leased-employee engagement supports the enhancement and maintenance of SMUD’s ADMS/OMS and Compass software and applications. The role works with SMUD stakeholders, end users, vendors, and internal teams to define testing criteria, execute and document tests, diagnose application issues, and support defect resolution. Testing work includes developing plans and scripts from business and functional requirements, performing functional and other testing, documenting results, and managing issues through verification of fixes. The position is hybrid in Sacramento, California, and is local-candidate only. A second interview is in person.

Requirements

At least 2 years of experience with different OSI AspenTech ADMS Monarch applications.
At least 2 years of experience with OSI AspenTech OMS and Compass applications.
At least 7 years of experience in testing and quality assurance activities.
Prior experience with and understanding of GIS models.
Experience with Waterfall, Agile, and Iterative development methodologies.

Nice To Haves

Experience with test automation tools.
Knowledge of and hands-on experience with a defect-tracking tool such as HP ALM or Jira.
2–3 years of experience creating process maps and translating them into test plans and test scripts.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with SMUD stakeholders to develop testing criteria and conduct testing and debugging, including root-cause analysis and documentation of findings.
Diagnose and resolve ADMS/OMS Monarch and Compass application issues, coordinating with vendors and end users to resolve bugs.
Participate in day-to-day testing activities, team meetings, creation of testing artifacts, and communication of test results with team members and vendor subject-matter experts.
Write and execute test scripts for ADMS/OMS Monarch and Compass applications and interfaces.
Develop executable test plans based on business and functional requirements.
Perform functional, end-user, integration, regression, and performance testing.
Clean up data after testing by reviewing, correcting, deleting, and re-entering data.
Record and document test results and compare them with expected results.
Record and document anomalies and issues; isolate, replicate, and report defects.
Lead and participate in issue and defect resolution discussions and working sessions.
Work with vendors and internal teams to verify defect fixes.
