Test Lab Technician
About The Position
The Test Lab Technician will conduct and document mechanical testing per SOPs, work instructions, and product specifications. This role involves verifying product quality, functionality, performance, and compliance with standards. The technician will also review and process test requests and test reports from internal and external customers, and assist with the design, build, integration, validation, and maintenance of test systems. Responsibilities include building test fixtures, executing component and system-level testing, and maintaining accurate test records using appropriate software and documentation tools. The technician will monitor laboratory equipment performance, ensure equipment readiness and compliance, and analyze lab performance metrics to recommend process improvements. Additionally, the role involves evaluating and supporting the procurement of test equipment and laboratory software, providing technical guidance and support to other team members, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and performing additional duties as needed.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- 2+ years of work experience
- Strong computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Nice To Haves
- Associate Degree or Technical Certificate in related field
- Mechanical experience or experience in a related technical field
