About The Position

The Test Lab Technician works in the Test Lab department, assisting with dielectric testing of proper protective equipment (PPE) products. The role includes inspecting, testing, washing, packaging, and shipping PPE products, while following company safety rules and maintaining test equipment in good working order. The position also involves other related duties as needed to meet the organization’s ongoing needs.

Work is performed in an environment that may include fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, vibration, loud noise, and outside weather conditions. The employee may occasionally encounter extreme conditions at construction job sites. The role requires rigorous physical labor, including lifting more than 50 pounds and standing for long periods. The employee must be willing to work outside the normal schedule, including weekends, holidays, and overtime when required.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual inspections of PPE products.
• Assist with dielectric testing of PPE products.
• Wash PPE products.
• Package PPE products.
• Ship PPE products.
• Work safely while performing visual and electrical testing.
• Maintain company Hanco dielectric test equipment in good working order.
• Perform other related work as required to complete the job and meet organizational needs.
