About The Position

MES, LLC is seeking a Test Examiner to utilize a Government-provided Program of Instruction in accordance with Army policy and program guidance. The Test Examiner will follow clearly detailed and specific procedures IAW site Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) or similar written directive. This role involves working directly with an Instructor using various methods of instruction to provide appropriate support and adequate academic instruction for various programs including the High School Completion Program (HSCP), the Basic Skills Education Program (BSEP), preparation for the official General Education Development (GED) exam, secondary programs, special emphasis language programs, and military professional development training. All methods must be IAW SOP, AR 621-5, and/or current directives. The Test Examiner will also assist in providing Functional Academic Skills Training (FAST), test preparation, prerequisite study for service schools and college classes, and military professional development training. This position requires maintaining student records and course documentation, assisting in developing Individualized Education Plans (IEP), measuring student outcomes, and using diagnostic tools like the Test of Adult Basic Education (TABE) to develop customized plans of instruction. The role also involves using Army Ignited or other government-directed programs to manage classes, enroll students, document attendance, post test scores, and monitor progress. Support for special events and maintaining a clean, orderly work environment, including ensuring computers and peripherals are clean and operational, are also key responsibilities. This is a civilian position and does not require military service.

Requirements

  • Shall be able to read, write, speak, enunciate clearly, and fully comprehend the English language.
  • An Associates degree is required.
  • A strong background in Math and English is required.
  • End-user instructional experience in Distance Learning (DL) or formal training in DL for the sites involved in DL and the ability to assist students with DL curriculum and with DL technical equipment is required.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency in the use of Microsoft-Office computer programs is required.
  • Minimum of two (2) years relevant experience consisting of at least one (1) year experience in individualized or classroom instruction, including prescriptive remediation of skills in the areas of Math, Reading, English Grammar, Science, Writing, Language Arts, or oral and written communication.
  • A National Agency Check with Investigation (NACI) is required for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Work directly with Instructor using various methods of instruction (e.g., face-to-face, classroom, DL, computer-assisted, assessment, evaluation, and intervention) to provide appropriate support and adequate academic instruction for the High School Completion Program (HSCP), the Basic Skills Education Program(BSEP), preparation for the official General Education Development (GED) exam, secondary programs, special emphasis language programs, and military professional development training. All methods must be IAW SOP, AR 621-5, and/or current directives.
  • Assist in providing Functional Academic Skills Training (FAST), test preparation, prerequisite study for service schools and college classes, and military professional development training.
  • Maintain student records and course documentation, providing this information to the ESO/ESS as required.
  • Assist Instructor in developing student Individualized Education Plans (IEP) to plan and deliver instruction based on individual needs.
  • Assist Instructor to measure student outcomes, maintain student records, and course documentation IAW SOPs and written directives provided by the Government, providing this information to the ESO/ESS as required.
  • Use the Test of Adult Basic Education (TABE) or other diagnostic tools to assist in developing customized plan of instruction for each student.
  • Use Army Ignited, or other government directed program/application to announce classes, enroll students, document attendance, post test scores, and monitor progress.
  • Support special events as requested by ESO (i.e. college fairs, graduation, etc.).
  • Maintain work area, office, and classroom environment in a clean, neat, professional, and orderly manner.
  • Ensure computers and peripherals are clean and operational.
