About The Position

The Test Event Junior System Administrator supports the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract. The candidate will administer the operations of computer systems related to operating systems, servers, and end-user workstations. This includes administering WSUS and SCCM servers for updating and patching of the domain, performing hardening and remediation of operating systems and STIG compliance to reduce cybersecurity risks, and deployment and configuration of vCenter, Power Shell, and Ansible with assistance from senior staff. The role also involves maintaining and managing Secure Host Baselines for both Windows and LINUX, conducting daily system monitoring, system backup and restoration, and application upgrades to ensure optimal and continuous system operations. Additionally, the administrator will develop and maintain system administration procedures and baseline configuration documentation, and be responsible for ensuring system software installs, maintenance, break/fix activities, and cyber security mitigations are performed in accordance with established policies, procedures and service level agreements. Assistance will be provided with creating, upgrading, managing and sustaining physical and virtual workstations and servers.

Requirements

  • Must have 1, or more, years of directly related experience
  • Must have experience managing a Linux workstation-based environment.
  • Must have experience with WSUS
  • Must have experience with SCCM, developing and executing powershell scripts
  • Must have experience managing Windows Active Directory and Group Policy Objects
  • Must have a current DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification or higher (CCNA-Security CySA+ (formerly CSA+), GICSP, GSEC, Security+, CND, or SSCP)
  • Must have an active DoD Secret Security Clearance
