About The Position

The Boeing Company is looking for an Experienced Test, Evaluation, & Fabrication Lab Technician to join their team in Berkeley, MO. This role is part of the Boeing Test & Evaluation division, where the lab fabricates, repairs, and modifies electrical cables, electronics chassis, panels, hubs, and full-up equipment/test racks for all Boeing Defense Systems platforms out of St. Louis. The technician will perform fabrication and assembly of components, cables, complex test fixtures, test systems, and hubs or electronics racks using hand tools, soldering, and manual mechanical buildup. They will also assist in implementing manufacturing processes and technologies, facilitate systems integration, fabrication, and modification, and support the integration and checkout of completed products. Responsibilities include conducting tests, participating in design reviews, troubleshooting and resolving laboratory and test-related problems, and performing maintenance and repair of lab equipment. Additionally, the technician will coach and train others and work under general direction.

Requirements

  • Ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship
  • 4+ years of experience working with wiring diagrams and/or functional schematics
  • 4+ years of experience constructing wire harnesses and panels by cutting, sorting, color-coding, measuring, stripping, crimping, soldering, and routing various lengths, types, and gauges of wire, heat-shrink, and other related materials
  • Experience with aerospace assembly and/or electrical fabrication
  • Ability to use multi meters for electrical test

  • Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)
  • Proven ability to assemble, rework, and troubleshoot small mechanical and electrical assemblies including the use of oscilloscope, multimeters, analog and digital designs
  • Effective verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and under general direction
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic, iterative R&D environment where requirements and priorities may shift rapidly
