Test Equipment Reliability Engineer
About The Position
ALTEN Technology USA is seeking a Test Equipment Reliability Engineer to improve test equipment reliability, uptime, and utilization. The role is onsite in Carson, California, Monday through Friday, and focuses on equipment ownership, performance KPI management, preventive and predictive maintenance, and continuous improvement. The engineer will analyze equipment interruptions and test failures, lead root-cause investigations and corrective actions, manage calibration and maintenance schedules, and support technicians and production teams. The listed salary range is $110,000–$120,000; the actual offer depends on factors including location, job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience. Selected candidates must successfully complete a pre-employment drug screening.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain FPY, OEE, MTBF, MTTR, and downtime dashboards.
- Analyze causes of equipment interruptions and test failures.
- Lead TPM activities on test equipment.
- Establish preventive and predictive maintenance plans.
- Improve test equipment reliability and uptime.
- Manage calibration and maintenance schedules.
- Lead root-cause investigations and corrective actions.
- Support technicians and production teams.
- Drive continuous improvement projects to increase equipment utilization.
