About The Position

This role is in Textron System’s Weapon Systems business area. The primary responsibilities include designing, developing, and documenting automated acceptance test equipment for new and existing electronic products, and assisting with the transition of this equipment to Production Test Engineering. The role involves developing a set of testing requirements based on engineering design documentation and hardware, and creating functional test stations using state-of-the-art PXI, LAN, and USB technologies for automated parametric measurements, while maintaining a modular, flexible, and scalable design approach. The engineer will assist in determining measurement techniques, identifying and procuring instrumentation, and implementing test systems to perform requirements verification. This position requires interfacing with product development teams to determine appropriate test strategy and coverage for functional requirements, and offers opportunities to grow in electrical engineering expertise in analog and digital circuits, cable design, and debugging of electrical assemblies. The role also includes authoring process, test, and calibration procedures, and producing clear, understandable documentation for various audiences.

Requirements

  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering with 2+ years’ experience developing instrument driven test equipment
  • Experience programming with LabView or Python
  • Experience in problem isolation with demonstrable troubleshooting skills
  • Must have strong written and verbal communications skills and be able to work in a team-oriented environment
  • The ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance is required

Nice To Haves

  • An existing U.S. Security Clearance is desired.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop and document automated acceptance test equipment required for new and existing electronic products and assist with transition of this equipment to Production Test Engineering
