Job Summary: The Test Engineering Technician I at Jabil, Inc. supports manufacturing test processes, performs basic troubleshooting, and assists in the maintenance of test equipment and fixtures to ensure product quality and efficiency.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree in electronics, engineering technology, or a related field preferred.
  • 0-2 years of experience in a manufacturing or test environment, preferably in electronics.
  • Basic understanding of electronic components, circuits, and test methodologies.
  • Ability to use common test equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and power supplies.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • May require the ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine tests on electronic and mechanical assemblies and sub-assemblies according to established procedures and specifications.
  • Document test results accurately and completely, identifying any deviations or failures.
  • Conduct basic troubleshooting of test failures to identify root causes, escalating complex issues to higher-level technicians or engineers.
  • Assist in the setup, calibration, and maintenance of test equipment and fixtures.
  • Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve testing issues and improve processes.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to test processes and equipment.
  • Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation.
