Job Summary: The Test Engineering Technician I at Jabil, Inc. supports the test engineering team in validating and troubleshooting electronic products and systems. This role involves executing test plans, analyzing data, and maintaining test equipment to ensure product quality and reliability.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in Electronics Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related field; or equivalent practical experience.
  • 0-2 years of experience in a manufacturing or test environment, preferably in electronics.
  • Basic understanding of electronic circuits and components.
  • Familiarity with common test equipment (e.g., DMM, oscilloscope, power supply).
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions.
  • Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Perform functional, in-circuit, and other tests on electronic assemblies and sub-assemblies according to documented procedures and specifications.
  • Set up and operate various test equipment, including oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, and specialized testers.
  • Document test results accurately and thoroughly, identifying and reporting any deviations or failures.
  • Assist engineers in troubleshooting and isolating failures to the component level.
  • Perform basic repairs and rework on tested units as needed.
  • Calibrate and maintain test equipment, ensuring proper functionality and accuracy.
  • Support the development and improvement of test fixtures and procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all safety protocols.
  • Communicate effectively with engineers, production personnel, and other team members.
