Job Summary The Test Engineering Technician I at Jabil, Inc. supports the test engineering team in the development, implementation, and maintenance of test solutions for various electronic products. This role involves assisting with test system setup, execution, and basic troubleshooting to ensure product quality and reliability.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree in electronics, electrical engineering technology, or a related field preferred.
  • 0-2 years of experience in an electronics manufacturing or test environment.
  • Basic understanding of electronic components, circuits, and test methodologies.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics and assembly drawings.
  • Proficiency with basic test equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and power supplies.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Test Engineers in setting up, calibrating, and performing functional tests on electronic assemblies and systems.
  • Execute documented test procedures and record test results accurately.
  • Identify and document basic test failures and discrepancies, escalating complex issues to higher-level technicians or engineers.
  • Perform routine maintenance and calibration of test equipment under supervision.
  • Support the assembly and modification of test fixtures and cables.
  • Collect and organize test data for analysis and reporting.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and quality standards.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives within the test department.
