About The Position

The Test Engineering Manager will play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing all testing activities across our product portfolio. This includes UL testing, new product development testing, and manufacturing partner testing for finished products, ensuring compliance with all relevant electrical and safety standards. The position will also involve developing, maintaining, and ensuring compliance of our Testing Lab at the Hyper Hub in Richmond, Virginia. With a strong focus on the data center market, the successful candidate will ensure that our products meet the high-performance standards demanded by this critical industry, from reliability and efficiency to compliance and safety.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s in Electrical, Mechanical, or related Engineering
  • 5+ years in electrical testing, validation, or quality engineering
  • Experience leading labs, compliance programs, or test teams strongly preferred
  • UL standards, electrical safety, and certification processes
  • Power systems, data center infrastructure, and high-reliability environments
  • Test equipment, data analysis tools, and quality systems
  • Strong cross-functional communicator
  • Comfortable owning programs end-to-end
  • Organized, detail-driven, and decisive in fast-paced environments
  • Based in Richmond, VA
  • Willing to travel to manufacturing partners and customer sites

Responsibilities

  • Oversee UL, NPD, and production testing programs across all product lines
  • Ensure compliance with electrical, safety, and data-center-specific standards
  • Establish benchmarks, documentation, and certification readiness
  • Manage the operation and compliance of the Hyper Hub Testing Lab in Richmond
  • Define procedures, equipment strategy, and regulatory compliance
  • Continuously improve testing protocols and methodologies
  • Develop and manage processes to ensure adherence to testing standards across global manufacturing partners
  • Audit partner labs and processes; drive corrective actions
  • Act as the primary technical authority for testing compliance
  • Partner with Engineering on validation for high-density power, redundancy, and reliability
  • Design stress, load, and environmental testing aligned to mission-critical use cases
  • Stay ahead of evolving data center and regulatory standards
  • Develop Final Acceptance Test (FAT) plans, execution, and reporting
  • Partner with Quality on SOPs, continuous improvement, and audit readiness
  • Lead and mentor Testing / Quality Technicians
  • Support product launches, factory startups, and field commissioning
  • Travel to partner sites and customer facilities as needed
