About The Position

Qorvo's Internship Program is designed for college students currently enrolled in an accredited Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD program. Qorvo offers real work experience, exposure to upper management, and the opportunity to pursue full-time opportunities, as available. Qorvo’s Test Engineering Internships are offered in our High Performance Analog, Advanced Cellular, Connectivity and Sensors and Global Operations business groups. Specific projects and responsibilities will be determined based on the business needs at the time of the internship assignment.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Basic understanding of semiconductor devices, electronic circuits, and testing methodologies.
  • Familiarity with laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, power supplies, and signal generators.
  • Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and eager to learn new technologies and processes.
  • Strong organization skills and attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

  • Classwork or experience with Analog/RF Signal Fundamentals is preferred.
  • Experience with programming or scripting languages such as Python, C/C++, or MATLAB is a plus.
  • Understanding of semiconductor manufacturing, wafer sort, or automated test equipment (ATE) is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support characterization, validation, and production testing of mixed-signal and analog semiconductor devices using Automated Test Equipment (ATE).
  • Analyze wafer sort and final test data to identify yield trends, electrical failures, and opportunities for test optimization.
  • Assist in debugging test hardware, probe cards, load boards, and test programs to improve product quality and manufacturing efficiency.
  • Collaborate with product, design, and manufacturing engineers to investigate issues and perform root cause analysis on failing devices.
  • Execute bench-level electrical testing using oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, power supplies, and signal generators to validate device performance.
  • Develop Python, LabView and Excel-based automation tools for data analysis, report generation, and test result tracking.
  • Perform correlation studies between characterization and production test environments to ensure measurement accuracy and test consistency.
  • Document test procedures, debugging findings, and engineering reports to support product qualification and release activities.
  • Support new product introduction (NPI) activities by evaluating engineering samples and validating test coverage.
  • Contribute to yield improvement initiatives through statistical analysis of test data and identification of manufacturing process variations.
