  • Experience with test data analysis software, qualification testing, and formal testing practices is also preferred.
  • Demonstrated technical judgment, vigilant preparation, clear documentation, a strong safety mindset, and the ability to turn engineering objectives into well-controlled and meaningful tests.

Responsibilities

  • Work with design engineers and technical stakeholders to identify test objectives, requirements, acceptance criteria, operating limits, and required data.
  • Develop test plans, test procedures, test matrices, operating sequences, checklists, and supporting calculations.
  • Define test configurations, instrumentation requirements, measurement ranges, sampling rates, data acquisition needs, and calibration requirements.
  • Identify facility, utility, equipment, tooling, staffing, and supporting requirements early enough to support test-program planning and execution.
  • Support test article integration, facility modifications, equipment checkout, controls verification, and instrumentation installation.
  • Develop pretest predictions and expected system responses to support procedure development and real-time assessment of test performance.
  • Participate in hazards analyses, design reviews, procedure reviews, and test readiness reviews.
  • Serve as Test Conductor when assigned and direct procedures, maintain situational awareness, and coordinate the test team.
  • Verify prerequisites, initial conditions, personnel assignments, communications, and required approvals before beginning a test.
  • Monitor test parameters and direct holds, pauses, or shutdowns when test limits, safety requirements, or expected conditions are not satisfied.
  • Evaluate test data, measurement uncertainty, anomalies, and deviations to determine whether test objectives and acceptance criteria were met.
  • Prepare test reports, document conclusions, and communicate results, limitations, and recommended follow-up actions.
  • Maintain accurate and traceable test records, including configuration information, procedure changes, raw data, operator logs, and anomaly documentation.
  • Support troubleshooting, corrective actions, lessons learned, and improvements to AMPERA’s testing processes.
