Test Engineer
About The Position
Canvas is seeking a Test Engineer to support test and evaluation activities for Project Office customers. This announcement may be used to fill multiple positions. Responsible for designing and executing Qualification test plans to validate the functionality and quality of complex Army missile systems. Lead and support component, subsystem, and system-level qualification testing; test types may include Environmental, EMI/EMC, Safety, Human Factors. Includes on-site TDY testing support, completing training to operate weapon system equipment at test facility and performing Unit Under Test functional checks. Ensure execution of test schedule by collaborating with test facility staff and daily status reporting to STRIKE leadership. Evaluate systems to ensure they meet military standards (MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461 and MIL-STD-464). Identify potential weapon system issues and defects by performing tests on the system's features. Report findings to ensure the final product meets specifications, working closely with development teams across the product lifecycle. This position involves physically climbing on top of military vehicles and weapon systems.
Requirements
- BS or BA degree
- 5 years test and evaluation experience in Army weapon system qualification testing
- Experience with evaluating systems to ensure they meet military standards (MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461 and MIL-STD-464)
- Must be a US citizen
- Active DoD Secret security clearance

- Hands on Test and Evaluation experience
- Redstone Test Center (RTC) or other lab experience
