About The Position

The Test Engineer supports the Ninja Product Test Department in ensuring that products in development meet high-reliability standards. The role owns testing activities for one or more assigned products, with guidance and oversight from the Test Manager and Test Team management. Responsibilities span defining testing needs, preparing test plans and protocols, setting up and running tests, and reporting results to product teams and test management. Testing primarily involves physical products, though some software validation may be required. The role also offers opportunities to design and build test fixtures, improve data collection and analysis, and identify ways to automate testing. The position coordinates testing with US- and China-based team resources, orders testing materials and equipment, and learns to use and document new test equipment and protocols. It requires a hands-on, technically minded approach, clear documentation and communication, and the ability to manage multiple activities. The posting prefers 0–3 years of engineering experience in the consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry and lists a bachelor’s degree or higher in an engineering field as a qualification. Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or higher in an engineering field.
Ability to clearly document testing expectations for US- and China-based resources.
Strong ability to manage multiple activities at the same time.
Willingness to learn to use new lab equipment.
Basic understanding of statistical methods.
Clear written communication, especially when documenting completed work.
Competency with Microsoft Office tools, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
Technical mindset and willingness to work hands-on with products and equipment.

Nice To Haves

0–3 years of engineering experience in the CPG industry.
Experience with Arduino, Raspberry Pi, or scripting, including Python.

Responsibilities

Own testing activities for assigned products, with guidance from the manager.
Create test plans that detail protocols, data to collect, and pass/fail criteria.
Coordinate testing needs with US- and China-based test team resources.
Help design and set up product tests, and execute them as a hands-on contributor under supervision.
Validate software when required, in addition to testing physical products.
Identify and help implement opportunities to automate product testing.
Create test protocols, with management oversight, to ensure testing is effective and efficient.
Perform black-box testing to assess the consumer user experience.
Organize and report test results to Test Team management and product teams.
Order materials and equipment needed for testing.
Learn to use new test equipment and document test protocols.
