Test Engineer
About The Position
Torch Technologies is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Test Engineer to join its team supporting the ACC TO at Eglin AFB, Florida. The role focuses on testing the Joint Mission Planning System (JMPS) and its life cycle upgrades, using operational expertise to develop realistic test scenarios and evaluate the mission planning environment. The engineer will work with engineers and project managers to support successful delivery of mission-critical software, prepare and present technical documentation, and advise senior leaders on the operational suitability of new mission planning software. Travel to support testing and evaluation activities is expected, up to 25%. The position is onsite at Eglin AFB and is not contingent upon a contract award.
Requirements
- U.S. citizenship.
- A master's degree in a technical field and at least 8 years of relevant technical experience working on high-visibility or mission-critical aspects; alternatively, 12 years of relevant technical experience may substitute for a master's degree, or a technical bachelor's degree with 8 years of relevant technical experience.
- Proven ability to develop and execute test plans with current complex weapon systems in the inventory.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must have and maintain an active current security clearance.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans for the Joint Mission Planning System (JMPS) and its life cycle upgrades.
- Use operational expertise to create realistic test scenarios that operationally test the mission planning environment.
- Collaborate with engineers and project managers to support the delivery of mission-critical software.
- Draft and present technical documents, including test plans, operational assessments, and final reports.
- Provide senior leaders with expert analysis and recommendations on the operational suitability of new mission planning software.
- Travel to support testing and evaluation activities.
