About The Position

Agile Defense is hiring a Test Engineer to support the U.S. Navy’s Military Sealift Command (MSC) through the ITESS Task Order. MSC provides ocean transportation to the Department of Defense and operates a global fleet and shore-support organization. This role supports MSC organizations and ship classes by helping ensure high operational availability through testing and quality assurance for IT systems.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of related professional experience.
• Comply with DoD Cyber Workforce Framework Testing and Evaluation Specialist (671 – Intermediate) requirements.
• Working knowledge of SDLC processes, testing methodologies, and quality assurance tools such as JIRA and TestRail.
• Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Active Secret security clearance; clearance must be held to start.
• Active CEH, CFR, Cloud+, GSEC, PenTest+, Security+, SSCP, or CCSP certification, or a bachelor's degree in IT, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or Software Engineering from an accredited institution.

Responsibilities

• Independently develop, maintain, and manage an enterprise test repository supporting multiple software baselines, operating systems, hardware platforms, and network architectures.
• Develop and maintain testing libraries for Microsoft Windows operating systems, Windows Server environments, Active Directory services, Microsoft security baselines, HP hardware platforms, Cisco routing and switching infrastructure, and RMF validation activities.
• Develop and execute manual and automated test plans, test cases, and scripts for functional, regression, performance, integration, user acceptance, and operational testing.
• Analyze technical requirements and develop testing strategies, test environments, and supporting test data.
• Identify, document, and track software and system defects through resolution and verification.
• Participate in engineering discussions, technical reviews, and team meetings, providing testing and quality assurance recommendations.
• Maintain test documentation, support CI/CD integration, and provide testing metrics and performance reports.
