Test Engineer

Advanced Micro Devices, Inc•San Jose, CA

About The Position

Xilinx, Inc., a subsidiary of AMD, Inc., is hiring a Test Engineer to define, develop, and maintain data infrastructure used to identify ICC, test-time, and yield issues from volume data for test-solution development. The role works with IC Design, Software Engineering, Product Verification, Product, and Test teams across geographical locations to deliver robust test solutions. It uses database, scripting, and data-analysis skills to transform raw ATE data into dashboards for test-engineer data exploration, and involves architecting and developing data for interpreting AMD’s volume test data. The engineer defines, develops, implements, and supports ATE test-program solutions for the latest generation of FPGAs. Work includes test-pattern conversion, constructing or enhancing test methods, and integrating timings, levels, and test flow into test programs. The role also supports New Product Introduction, including generating, debugging, and implementing new test programs for production, and contributes to productivity improvement and cost-reduction work such as test-time reduction and multi-site development and implementation. The position applies engineering principles, best practices, and technology to the design, development, and testing of proprietary products.
