Our heritage is in electrohydraulic and electromechanical actuation systems and now, through acquisitions and internal development, Moog provides expert solutions in: Stabilized Turret Drive Systems Integrated Weapon Systems (full turret from mechanical design to fire control electronics and software) Ammunition Handling Data Control and Distribution Power Management and Distribution We are looking for a Test Engineer at our location in Santa Barbara, California. We provide sub-systems and components for every mission critical system on a modern military vehicle. Our heritage is in electrohydraulic and electromechanical actuation systems and now, through acquisitions and internal development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s in engineering
  • Experience in the system development, integration or test
  • Experience working in team environment
  • Strong attention to detail
  • High level of motivation and willingness to learn
  • Strong work ethic
  • Ability to access US export-controlled information
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Turret fire control systems design, integration, and test experience
  • MATLAB/Simulink expertise
  • Active DoD Security Clearance

Responsibilities

  • Execute real-time testing of developmental turreted weapon systems and differing mission configurations
  • Develop test methods based on system requirements
  • Document test findings and generate reports detailing results
  • Evaluate the system design using a variety of engineering disciplines
  • Based on fundamental engineering principles, verify system level performance of candidate approaches and recommend approaches to specific applications.
  • Understand/interpret customer specifications and requirements.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% depending on mission requirement. (historically has been 10%-15%)
