About The Position

We’re seeking to a hire an intern for our Access Egress Hardware Group (AEHG) Automated Test Engineering team to support planned Development projects. This person will work directly with ATE team engineers and support the development, build, test, qualification and deployment of hardware across multiple projects. This position will sit onsite full-time in New Haven, CT at ASSA ABLOY Americas corporate headquarters reporting into the Lead Engineer. However, this individual may need to work based upon the project needs occasionally at Berlin, CT location.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelors Degree program in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related engineering field.
  • Strong analytical skills with a passion for learning and problem-solving.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office for Windows (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).
  • Comfortable with hands-on work and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Construct PC-based test equipment using hand tools, lab equipment, soldering, wiring, and preliminary documentation.
  • Perform electrical testing, checkout, and qualification of equipment.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues.
  • Develop and maintain documentation to support processes and projects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on multiple projects and challenges within an Agile product development environment.
