About The Position

Island is seeking a Test Development Engineer to join its Quality Group engineering team. The role focuses on designing and implementing manual and automated tests to help ensure high-quality product delivery to customers. The engineer will work with R&D teams, improve testing approaches, adapt plans to enterprise customer use cases, and fix defects in test suites and customer-facing products.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of experience in manual test design.
• Hands-on experience with AI coding tools and agents, such as Claude Code and Cursor, to write, debug, and maintain test code.
• Creativity in finding solutions for challenging requirements.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in automation test development for an enterprise product.
• A degree in computer science or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and run manual and automated test scenarios.
• Work closely with R&D engineering teams to ensure new features and product releases are delivered with high quality.
• Lead test-solution innovations to reduce test time and improve overall product quality.
• Understand enterprise customers’ use cases and environment setups, and adapt testing plans to real-world scenarios.
• Fix bugs in test suites and in various parts of Island’s customer-facing products.
